chapter4:
- stories can erupt violently. literally.
chapter5:
- don't write about what you love best, because err'body knows what it is and err'body knows 'bout it. write about what you love yourself. you have a huge trove of knowledge in said area, and therefore you are the expert. wow us.
- love your writing--pursue it endlessly.
- write as if you were dying--get your story out there.
- push the envelope as far as you can. capture some wild power, and try to tame it.
- you are a slave to the words. don't fight it.
- you've gotta love err'thing 'bout writing, including the little bits.
- only you can tell your story.
- we want drama, not just a slice of life. if it is a slice of life, it better be interesting, tangy, and zesty.
- you must be the aggressor--force the line out by being persistent.
chapter6:
- you are not in control of the story... even though you may think you are.
- put it out there. you never know what people will think--it may be your big break.
and that is all! chapter seven didn't have anything that i could really see as noteworthy... or understandable, for that matter. whops.
